One of my best friends met and was about to marry her prince charming. It was truly a fairytale romance. She dropped by one day to show me the gown she'd picked out for herself and the bridesmaids dresses. The caption underneath the gown read "expressions of love." I was struck by it. I was formulating these lyrics before Trina left my house (of course, she was unaware). Yes, this is not actually a poem but a song. Unfortunately, I have never had the words set to music. I did, however, have it printed on parchment paper with two doves each holding one end of a ribbon that had two wedding bands in the middle. I found the perfect frame for it and presented it as a wedding gift. The happy couple was thrilled.
